KARA WST L-ACOUSTICS SPEAKER

• The KARA modular line source operates on the 55 Hz - 20 kHz frequency band. The frequency response can be extended up to 32 Hz with the SB18 sub-bass reinforcement.
• KARA is a 2-way active loudspeaker comprising two 8” neodymium LF drivers mounted in a bass-reflex enclosure. The HF section is composed of a neodymium driver with a 3” diaphragm compression chamber loaded by a DOSC® waveguide.
• The coplanar K-configuration of the transducers defines a horizontal polar coverage of 1 10 °, symmetrical with respect to the projection axis and without secondary lobes over the entire frequency band. The combination of a coplanar geometry and the DOSC® waveguide makes it possible to fulfill the five criteria of the WST®. The wave front of a KARA line can be modeled without breaking and without accident up to a maximum of 10 ° per element placed in line.
• The KARA loudspeaker is made of premium Baltic birch plywood with outstanding mechanical and acoustic properties. The four-point rigging system allows up to 24 KARA loudspeakers to be hung in a single row.
• The KARA loudspeaker is driven and amplified by the dedicated L-ACOUSTICS LA8 controller which provides linearization, intelligent protection, and optimization in three operating modes:

1. “WIDEBAND” mode when using main source line or distributed system.
2. The “HIGH-PASS” mode as a proximity reinforcement or as a downfill of the K1 system.
3. The “LOW EXTENSION” mode in use with the SB18.
4. The performance of a KARA loudspeaker depends on the preset used and the configuration chosen.
