MTD 10 8A L-ACOUSTICS

The MTD 10 8a is a 2-way passive speaker whose transducers, a 1 "compression driver directly loaded by an 8" speaker, are coaxially assembled. The advantages of coaxial technology are multiple: ideal coherence of the wavefront on all frequencies, stable sound image due to an axi-symmetrical opening, controlled directivity at the connection of the transducers, single and point sound source, absence of lobes in the vicinity of the cutoff frequency.

Sound quality and the performance / size ratio were the main criteria for the design of the MTD 10 8a. Its extremely linear response curve gives it excellent fidelity and remarkable intelligibility for speech.

The tuning of the MTD 10 8a has been optimized to provide maximum efficiency and a satisfactory bass extension for all musical applications which do not require a large impact in this area.

The L-ACOUSTICS MTD 10 8LLCa controller is the analog electronics specially designed to optimize the performance of the MTD 10 8a loudspeaker: equalization and control of the loudspeaker bandwidth, protection of the transducers (thermal protection / limitation of the excursion), filtered for use with subwoofers.

The MTD 10 8a is ideal for distributed sound in theaters, opera houses, conventions, television sets, nightclubs, shops and restaurants. It can also be used as a local reinforcement, at the front of the stage or under balconies. Its very compact shape allows it to fit discreetly, especially in listed buildings. Thanks to its fidelity and dynamics, the MTD 10 8a is above all the ideal partner for applications such as classical concerts and operas where high-quality sound reinforcement is essential.

For certain "live" musical applications requiring more impact at low frequencies, an L-ACOUSTICS sub-bass supplement is recommended. The MTD 10 8a is also an effective stage monitor for concert, theater, dance, convention or television applications. Thanks to two angles of use, it can be used as a near or far return.
