As its reference suggests it is an analog 4in4out platform which can also be used 8in 8out AES3 or even 4in 8out DANTE. The LM 44 incorporates the latest generation of the legendary MESA EQ modules. There are many applications:

- driver master or speaker manager of broadcasting systems,
- EQ monitor
- digital audio transport and control over standard ethernet network, Dante protocol

But above all, the LM44 has won over many service providers with its router-splitter function for switching multiple analog or digital consoles. For example in festival configurations.
