Description:

The L-ACOUSTICS ® 8XT loudspeaker is the compact model of the XT coaxial range operating on the 65 Hz - 20 kHz frequency band. The frequency response can be extended up to 32 Hz by including the recommended L-ACOUSTICS ® SB118 subwoofer boost.

The loudspeaker comprises the coaxial assembly of an 8 '' LF speaker tuned in a bass-reflex cabinet and a 1.5 '' diaphragm compression chamber HF motor loaded by the 8 'cone '. The passive filtering between the transducers is of the third order. The active linearization of the transducers and their protection results from a combination of parameters administered in the dedicated control system LA4.

The coaxial configuration of the assembly defines a polar coverage of 10 ° axisymmetric and without side lobes over the entire coverage range.

The cut-off cabinetry is designed for versatile use and as a stage monitor with two listening angles of 30 ° and 40 ° from the vertical. Made of premium Baltic birch plywood, it incorporates a steel foot base that also acts as a mounting part for the ETR8-2 bracket.

which optimizes three operating modes:

• The “LARGE BANdE” mode where the 8XT speakers are used alone on their nominal frequency band (presets [8XT_FR], [8XT_FI] or [8XT_MO])

• The '' HIGH-PASS '' mode filtered at 10 0 Hz to include a possible SB118 sub-bass supplement (presets [8XT_FR_ 10 0], [8XT_FI_ 10 0] or [8XT_MO_ 10 0])

• The “HYBRIdE” mode corresponding to a hybrid configuration with the SB118 sub-bass supplement (preset [8XT_SB118]).

in each mode we distinguish the 3 presets [FRONT], [FILL] and [MONITOR] corresponding respectively to front, distributed configurations or taking into account a semi-infinite space.
