The KS28 is a benchmark bass boost designed to extend the frequency response of large format systems. It features two 18 '' high excursion direct-radiating transducers mounted in a bass-re ex enclosure. L-Vents reduce turbulence and port noise at high levels while increasing low frequency (LF) ef ciency.

The KS28 is operational from 25 Hz. The excursion capability of the transducers and the laminar vents provide a high SPL with low distortion. The KS28 enables standard or cardioid directivity to be achieved by combining physical deployment and the appropriate preset.

The KS28 is the first L-Acoustics speaker to fully harness the power of the LA12X amplified controller. The LA12X provides advanced filtering functions, linearization and L-Drive protection of the transducers. Its on-board library offers standard and cardioid presets, each available with two low pass filters to support various coupling conditions and LF contour requirements.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The cabinetry of the KS28 is in birch and beech plywood. The use of panels optimized in thickness and associated with stiffeners gives the KS28 maximum internal volume with perfect mechanical integrity and a relatively low weight of 79 kg. Six ergonomic handles provide an ef cient grip and facilitate handling. The glides on the ground and on the sides secure the installation. A two-point suspension system is built into the cabinet.

APPLICATIONS AND BENEFITS
The KS28 is ideal for large format systems, in ground or aerial deployments. It can greatly improve the extension and LF contour of source lines.
