8XTI L-ACOUSTICS

The 8XTi loudspeaker is the compact model of the L-ACOUSTICS ® Architectural Series and operates on the frequency band from 65 Hz to 20 kHz. This response can be extended up to 32 Hz by including SB18i sub-bass reinforcement.

The 8XTi loudspeaker features the coaxial assembly of an 8 '' LF speaker tuned into a bass-reflex enclosure and an HF driver with 1.5 '' diaphragm compression chamber loaded by the 8 '' cone (for HF directivity). Passive filtering between transducers is third order.

The linearization of transducers and their protection results from a combination of parameters administered in the amplified controllers system.

The coaxial configuration of the assembly defines a polar coverage of 10 0 ° axisymmetric, without sidelobes throughout the coverage range, and matched with a smooth tonal response.

The cut-away cabinetry with clean lines as well as the hanging and color options of the enclosure 8XTi make it a product perfectly suited to the fixed installation market in which the constraints visuals impose a discreet integration and a setting to the color according to the specifications of the architect.

Made of Baltic birch plywood, the speaker incorporates 4 M6 inserts to attach an accessory of the Omnimount® 30.0 range. It can also be mounted on a stand using the additional EMBi base or suspended by the ETR8XTi bracket. The 8XTi loudspeaker is controlled by L-ACOUSTICS ® amplified controllers

in the following modes:

• '' WIDE BAND '' where the speakers are used alone on their nominal frequency band

(presets [8XT_FR], [8XT_FI] or [8XT_MO])

• '' PASS-HAUT '' where the loudspeakers are filtered at 10 0 Hz to include a possible complement

subwoofer SB18i (same presets as above with the extension '' _ 10 0 '')

• '' HYBRID '' corresponding to a hybrid configuration with the SB18i sub-bass supplement

(preset [8XT_SB18]).

In each mode we distinguish the 3 presets [FRONT], [FILL] and [MONITOR] corresponding respectively to front, distributed, or half-space configurations. The The performance of an 8XTi speaker depends on the preset used and the configuration chosen.
